Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

For crawls outside of London, get the train to the station listed on the website (most cities only have 1). If in London use public transport to get to the first pub. The crawl can then be completed on foot, starting with pub 1 and working your way up the numbers. The yellow route is the route you follow. If outside of London the route finishes back at the station.

Do I have to visit every pub?

Nope. You can do as many or as little if you fancy. Especially if you’re drinking in each make sure you know your limits! Also if you just want to read about the history of the area that’s fine.

Do I have to drink at every pub I visit?

If you enter a pub it is courteous to  purchase a drink/snack there. Please don’t walk into pubs just to have a look around.

Can I still take part if I don't drink alcohol?

Absolutely. All pubs have non-alcoholic options.

What if I have accessibility requirements?

The majority of pubs are accessible, as is the majority of the planned route. However there may be sections that are unsuitable. If you have accessibility requirements please contact us with your intended and we’ll provide a tailored version for you.

Does everyone taking part in the crawl need a map?

No you only need 1 map per group in theory. However you may wish to have one each as a memento.

Can I share the map with my friends?

All our maps are copyrighted, so please don’t share any material online. We also ask that you don’t give maps away but rather point people in the direction of the website. If you refer a friend to the website you and they will receive a discount code.

How long do the crawls last?

Typically around 7 hours if you do the full Monty. But if you choose to just visit a few and walk the route you could have it done in 2 hours.

How much walking is involved on the crawls?

Typically between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes.

What is included with the map?

The map tells you the route to take, but also includes a summary of any history/cool facts about the pub, as well as a brief history of the area and any interesting buildings/locations you pass through.

Can I get one as a gift?

Yes you can either purchase a map for a friend directly, or purchase a gift voucher.
