This crawl is part of our catalogue of interesting locations in London to explore and learn about. The linear route takes you through the historic centre and beating heart of London, ‘the City’. There are lots of public transport options to get to the first pub and away from the last.

You’ll weave your way from one end of the City to the other, past some of London’s iconic landmarks and historic buildings like St Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London. You'll also pass through hidden alleyways, financial institutions and market halls. You’ll learn about the rich history of the area from the formation of Londinium by the Romans and the subsequent Kings of England who had to keep law and order, to its present-day function as London’s financial district. You’ll hear stories of events that shaped the area like the Great Fire of London and the subsequent rebuilding by Christopher Wren, alongside stories lost to time like the illegal cockfighting and public executions that once took place here.
