This crawl is part of our catalogue of lesser known locations outside of London (within an hour or so train journey). The route takes you through the idyllic and prestigious town of Henley in the county of Oxfordshire, located just West of London. It is a circular route (starting and finishing at the train station), so it’s easy to return home once finished.

You’ll pass through the main areas of the town, including the high street and busy riverside, but also smaller streets and hidden gems away from the centre. You’ll learn about the rowing heritage of the area and the famous Henley Royal Regatta that has shaped so much of the town’s development. You’ll also learn about the history of the Brakspear brewery who operate all the pubs on this route and developed the Ale Trail to encourage visitors.
